Buying through the site
What are the costs if I buy anything, surely it can't be completely free, you have to make money somehow?
Using the site for networking, selling, buying or anything else will not cost you a penny. We make our money through selling our own aircraft on the site and through advertising. We don't pass on any of the costs of operating the site to the members.
How do I know where to look for what I want to buy?
The menus on the right hand side will give you the perfect starting point. There is one menu for aircraft and another for other items. Make sure you read what is on the screen - you'll find the site is actually very easy to use. If you get stuck, we'll always be more than happy to give you a helping hand, just use the contact us page to ask us a question.
Selling through the site
What costs do I have to pay for advertising?
Not a penny! We do not charge for advertising on the site at all. You can place as many ads as you like, you are responsible for taking calls and enquiries for your own ads.
What moderation is there to ensure the site isn't full of old / irrelevant adverts?
We do check and approve each advert that is put on the site so although there will be a short delay in approving your adverts, you can rest assured that all of the adverts are genuine entries and not spam or copies from elsewhere. We ask that you ensure your advert is relevant, comprehensive and that it contains details of how prospective buyers can contact you.
What should I know before advertising an aircraft?
The site provides specific details for everything about an aircraft or share for sale so the more information, pictures and details you have available, the more complete your advert will be. You should try to include a variety of pictures, full specifications of the aircraft and the equipment it has on board, details of running costs and any funds accrued for maintenance etc will also be of significance to potential buyers. Essentially, the more information you can provide, the more informed your buyers will be and the less likely people will be to just "gloss over" your advert.
What do I do when something I advertised is sold?
When you make a sale, we ask that you tick the "sold" box on your advert in order that people know not to contact you about the item. We do not delete items or aircraft from the site - this is to enable members to search for items that have sold in order to compare prices with something else they might want to make enquiries about. If you would rather have your advert removed from the site, please contact us and we will be able to remove it for you - remember that you can always edit it and remove your contact details if you wish to.
